It's a Family Affair.......

On a lighter note i spent a week well 6 days last week at the lake with my Son Con(13)we got there Friday night where i was greeted by the Brigadier who gave me a quick debrief of the weeks events so far and a cup of tea.
We were up early and Con was off on his usual walk round to assess the soon to be departing anglers and listen to their tales of fish caught and lost.... The new lads arrived and we all went on the walk round then it was draw time i knew where i wanted to go and on drawing ball 2 we got The Double in the woods it just suits when you have a kid with you, so a good start.
We were soon set up and lost a couple first night and the second so a change of tact even longer lenghths of tubing and rods tips up high and the tuesday night is one we will remember for ever as Father and Son, I had the first take (leftside) and while i was playing the fish Con had a take (rightside) he was in as well, i landed mine first and new it was a gooden i left it in the net while i went to help Con after a 15 minute battle i slipped the net under a big Mirror on shining the headtorch in the net i calmly told him he had just landed the NOGENT with Dave the Bailiffs help we weighed and photographed the beast it went 76lb a great result for Con after putting her back we dealt with mine on lifting the net i knew it was a lump another massive Common it went 74lb now known as the Private what a brace and as you can imagine Con was buzzing and was awake most of that night until another run produced a 56lb 8oz Mirror for him we went on to catch more stunning fish in a fantastic week for a Father and Son..... Con 76LB Mirror 56lb 8oz Mirror 53lb 8OZ Mirror 41lb Common ME 74LB Common 62lb 8oz Mirror 58lb Common 50lb Common 41lb Mirror 30lb Mirror all caught on CCC specials various sizes over seed defo worked for us......
